- What are “vintage rentals”?
- Vintage Rentals are the unique and classic details not found in your typical event rental establishment. We do not rent your grandmother’s mothballed closet or old cars. What we do specialize in is well-crafted and one-of-a-kind furniture, handpicked mismatched china, glassware and everything else to make your table setting complete. We also provide all of the vintage accoutrements to complete your special affair.
- How far do you deliver and how much will it cost?
- We are happy to entertain the idea of a road trip filled with ACDC blaring, fountain drink sipping, and bubble-gum popping, but Austin and surrounding areas is our specialty. We carefully select professional movers who specialize in handling delicate items to ensure your loot arrives safely and on time. When pricing the delivery, we carefully consider the distance, truckload, and time involved to calculate a fair quote.
- What do I deposit to reserve items?
- We accept a non-refundable 50% deposit on church pews, wooden chairs and tabletop service. For all other items, we accept a deposit of $500. Three months prior to your event, you may select items. Since more than one party typically reserves on the same date, we allow the first to place the deposit full access to our furniture and accessory inventory. Once they’ve selected their pieces, we then allow the second party to select items, and so on.
- When do I pay the remaining balance for my items?
- One week prior to your event.
- Can I change my order after signing the contract?
- Yes, you have up until a week before the event to make changes to your order without penalty. If you decide you’d like the Penelope couch over the Lizzy, you can make that change without any penalty. Keep in mind, Lizzy might be engaged elsewhere. Also, we have a waiting list for our items. So if you remove Penelope, she might accept an invitation to another party instead.
- If I don’t want delivery, can I just pick up my items myself?
- Sure, depending on your rental order and vehicle of transport, we will absolutely consider a pick-up order. Just don’t try and cross the border.
- Do you offer an hourly rental rate?
- Sure do! This is a great option for photographers or others needing our items for less than five hours. Please make note, delivery is not available to those needing hourly rentals.
- What about a weekly rental rate?
- Yes, we offer a dandy of a deal for our customers requiring our loot on a weekly basis. This is a great option for movie sets, home staging, pop-up shops, window displays, or what have you.
- Oops, I broke it.
- Accidents happen. For our tabletop service items, we require clients to accept a damage waiver of 10% the total rental order. Table top items returned damaged due to negligence or misuse will be assessed a fee of three times the rental rate. For our furniture and accessories the damage waiver is optional otherwise we charge three times the rental rate for any items returned damaged are unable to be repaired/cleaned.
- I don’t see what I’m looking for. Boo Hoo. Boo Hoo.
- We love the thrill of the hunt. If you’re looking for something we don’t have, but would love to have it in our inventory… give us a shot! Chances are we’ll find just what you were looking for! We will need ample time to search, however.
- I love D.I.Y. details but just don’t have the T.I.M.E.
- Loot Vintage Rentals also specializes in handmade décor! We love to craft and create. Whether you need a personalized garland or the whole venue transformed, we’re excited to take on the project. We provide a la carte pricing, or a styling service to create the design for your entire affair. To reserve our styling services exclusively for your event, we require a deposit of $600.
- Umm, I’m a little busy on that day. Can you just come and make it pretty?
- If you just need help setting up your loot all nice and pretty, we are happy to do so. We charge $75 per hour to help our loot look its best at your affair.
- Did you know there was a TV show in the 70’s called “Rhoda”?
- Yes, I know about it, but I’m not named after her. She was pretty hip, though.
- Anna, you have such good posture. What’s your secret?
- Most people thank their mother for insisting they sit up straight. I give credit to my orthopedic surgeon for the rods in my back.
